We all like to kick back and take little breaks from life. Some prefer to travel, explore seeing places they’ve never been before. Some of us also like to visit those places in our imagination;through books and movies. There are many apps that allow us to do that remotely which is really cool but which is the best really? Today I’ll be rating all platforms that provide us dreamers with top tier entertainment.
1. Inkitt.

This app is really good, easy to use and has some great content. My first impression of the app is that it’s mostly smut-filled. Like the second you install the app, most of the books they recommend are erotica or werewolf categories. You can choose the categories you’re interested in beforehand, but once you select those categories, roughly 60% of your recommendations will be from those categories. You can search for books under other categories as there are a lot to choose from so don’t worry.
It is incredibly easy to write and publish your stories on the app too, for those who might be interested. The discover page is also flooded with new books and writers so you never get bored. I’ve been on the app for about two years now, I’ll give it a 7/10.☑️
2.Penana.

The app is very easy to use and welcoming at first glance. It also places interaction as a priority. There is a tab that displays all ongoing contest for its users to participate in. It has really great books and gives everyone a chance. It has a portion dedicated to new stories so your book won’t get trampled over and forgotten in the great mix.
You can get almost everything you’re looking for. From your normal adventure or romance books to out-of-context quotes to a K-pop blog! You can also see your total word published count ,create contest and post anything at all for its users to see. The amount of voluntary interaction is off the charts! 8/10☑️
3.Archive Of Our Own (a.k.a AO3)

This is also a reading site with a lot to choose from. A lot of fandoms thrive here so if you feel out of touch with your fandom this is a great place to reconnect. Users can publish their own work, read and post comments and participate in challenges .I don’t think you can ever get bored on this site with over eleven million books and almost 58 thousand fandoms.8/10☑️
4. Novelcat

This is a free app that allows users to publish just about anything they choose to. Readers and writers can easily connect with each other. It has about 20 diverse genres with creative stories and talented writers. It also provides generous writer’s benefits that encourage writers to continue to write and improve on their skill, granting readers a wonderful experience on the app.6/10☑️
5. Wattpad.

Probably the reason you scrolled this far down. I don’t even know where to begin. I mean imagine having a whole convention to celebrate your talented writers and dedicated readers. The app is really good. No matter what other apps you explore I can guarantee you’ll end up coming back to Wattpad that’s for sure. The genres, the unlimited number of books to pick from and the amount of talent on the app is just phenomenal.
The writers are just so talented they literally leave their readers begging for me in the comments. It’s ok if your favorite writer isn’t a regular uploader, cause there’s so much to choose from. It has never been easier to publish a book online. I have one I’m working on and I wish you would check out to help a friend.I’ve been a user since 2017 and I’ve honestly had zero regrets. I rate it a solid 10/10🤌 ✨perfection✨
